What kind of pain control do you use?

As a pediatrician and Mohelet, I do not believe that pain is part of the covenant.  I use a compassionate protocol that allows most babies to rest comfortably throughout the procedure.  I use a small injection of lidocaine to numb the area.  I also use sugar water and sweet wine to help raise pain-fighting endorphins that occur naturally in the baby's brain.
