I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado. After completing my training and working as a pediatric hospitalist for many years, my growing interest in Jewish ritual life led me to train to become a certified Mohelet in 2010. I am a pediatrician and lactation consultant at a Denver based clinic that provides top care to underserved communities. As a mother of three boys, I understand the mixed emotions that parents face when planning, preparing, and celebrating their infant son’s Brit Milah.
My nurturing and gentle focus on the baby’s well being help me relax both anxious parents and baby on the big day. I approach each Brit Milah with compassion and warmth. It is my highest joy to interact with each unique family I meet as they create a ceremony that represents their family, their values, and their personal connection to the ritual. I am happy to discuss the medical as well as the ritual questions that arise for families. I am trained in both Conservative and Reform traditions, and I am able to counsel families in the Halachic elements of a Bris. |
